Build-a-Letter LOWERCASE Templates. Finally.
Well, I have them finished. Not exactly by the end of April, as I foolishly told someone earlier this year, but finished nonetheless. :)
I have not gotten around to actually cutting the shapes from foam yet and presenting this to M. I think I’ll do a few letters with him at a time, along with the uppercase ones (which you can find here), since apparently he has regressed a bit with recognition of both “mama” and “baby” letters. Or maybe he’s just pulling my leg. With him I never know!
I plan to use foam for the shapes and print the letter pages on colored paper to make it a bit more appealing than old black and white.
Let me know if you use these! You can download them by clicking on the image above or going here.
Have a beautiful day! :)

These will be fun!
ReplyDeleteFabulous Nicole. Thanks so much for doing these. :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous! I don't think we'll use these just yet, but I have this post bookmarked for later =)
ReplyDeleteawesome! thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteooo so excited!!! I am going to get these printed out at nap time! Great post nap activity!
ReplyDeleteThey look great. It's too funny what you said about M. It's often the same here - I just don't know what daughter knows in certain areas unless she makes it slip. She is a master of intentionally incorrect answers.
ReplyDeleteBear does that all the time - pull my leg about what she knows and doesn't.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the printables. I love having a printer again:)
These look awesome and I see you have the uppercase also. Can't wait to try both!
ReplyDeleteThanks for these. I have your upper case ones printed out and am excited about these.
ReplyDeleteDid you get this idea from Handwriting Without Tears? They use the exact same shapes to build letters. It is a great program for early writing skills! You can find info at www.handwritingwithouttears.com.
ReplyDeleteEmily - I have heard about Handwriting without Tears, but haven't really looked into it since we aren't using any set curriculum for preschool. I did not know they had this same kind of activity. I got the idea from a book titled Build an A (or something like that-?). I've seen a lot of similar things online since I made this set. I have an upper case set available also. Thanks for your comment!
ReplyDeletethank you so much for doing this... its brilliant.... really appreciated
ReplyDeleteWhat a fab resource will be linking through from my blog to this post hope that is ok.
ReplyDeleteI found your post via Pinterest. I'm a first grade teacher and mom to five year old twins. What a great resource! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this. My son is enjoying the uppercase letters. I was supposed to print the template for the lowercase letters but I can't access the file. I hope you can help me out with this. Thanks!

Thank you for all of the resources you have provided. I tried to access these lower case letters, but they seem to not be there anymore. Is there another place that I can find them?

Just wanted to let you know that it worked when I tried it today. Not sure what was going wrong the other day.
